I'll never get over the end. Why did Haruka just leave the dog in the end? I remember the first time I finished the game, I repeated the scene, thinking that she had found the owner and sent it back, but no, she just left the dog on the street. u_u' Thank God in Yakuza Kiwami 2 Kiryu finds the same dog again and sends to the orphanage where he grew up.

Because likely her and kiryu couldnt take of it, its all well and good helping the dog out but based on kiryu's past a yakuza woulda just killed it, which is worse than leaving it on the street

Nah, easily they could find a shelter to take care of it, I've done that in real life. I think they brought the dog back in Yakuza 2 exactly because several people felt the same way I did.

You've done it in Japan or where you currently live? It may be harder to put a dog in a shelter in Japan and it may not be ideal depending on how likely the dog would be put down. Culturally there are also different factors at play here. Dogs in public aren't going to be treated the same way as it would in the west. See examples of dogs like Hachikō.

it is a very bizarre moment lol. kiryu asks if she wants to take it along and haruka is like nah, im gonna leave it here and maybe its mom will find it. kiryu is like ok lol and they just walk away

If it was up to me, I'd have abandoned Haruka and kept the dog. I hate her. She's a brat with a big mouth.
