A rant about casinos

I havent tried every casino game yet but what i tried seems way worse than in 0.

Its harder to earn money than in 0 to begin with which means you might have to reload your save if casino isnt going well which is a massive waste of time. In 0 you had literally thousands of millions so you didnt really care if you lost a few on casino as long as you got that CP.

The other problem is this stupid prize system where you cant even cash in your chips, you gotta exchange them for prizes that are usually worth nothing. Its good if you are missing that specific gear or weapon for 100% but thats about it.

Now onto the real problem, the unfairness of these minigames. Lets take blackjack for example. I got the dealer get blackjack right off the bat 4 times in a row. Bad luck but such bs never happened in 0. I also noticed im going bust way more often than i did in 0. If i have 12 or 13 and i take another card i often get a 10 which is so annoying. Either that or i get 16-17 right off the bat and if i hit im bust, if i stand im ♥♥♥♥♥♥ again cuz the dealer gets 18 at least. Its a lose-lose situation.

Baccarat. This minigame took me literally 10 minutes to complete in 0 but over here its hell. It should be a 50/50 chance (with a small chance of a draw) but it feels more like 90/10 and that 90 sure isnt in your favor. As an example i tried betting 5 times in a row on a banker. The banker lost all 5. I reloaded the save and i tried betting 5 times on the player. This time the player lost all 5. Sure doesnt feel like a 50/50 chance. Also you can bet a max of 1000 chips and you could bet 10000 in 0. Makes the grind even worse.

Roulette. Another bs that should in theory be a 50/50 chance (if you go red/black or odd/even). Well, yet again it doesnt feel like it. Put everything on black and you will get red every damn time. Or 0, even worse.

TLDR the casino is a massive bs and im actually wondering if its rigged just to consume more of your time and make the game seem longer than it really is or whatever. Felt pretty ez in 0, feels like hell in kiwami.

Ps im not even gonna talk about cho han, cee loo, mahjong where 2 people get riichi in 3 turns and so on...

You are approaching those minigame in the wrong way. Your winnings are what counts towards the completion list and your lost won't effect those numbers. You want to put your bet on the highest return possible.

For baccarat, only bet on super 6. For roulette, play and leave the game 5 times to get an offer to double your bet and put an even spread around a single number.

The games in the gambling halls needs a certain number of wins and require you to leave the minigame and restart again to be given the option to bet more money. The same rule for the casino applies here, bet on the highest return.

There are also ingame cheat items you can use. Most won't check off your list in a single go, but goes a long way to complete your minigame list.

It is RNG, you arnt even really playing those games, it is simply the computer deciding when you can win or not, RNG in Sega games is hilariously cheap, like win 5 times in a row, level of cheapness.

I wouldnt really bother with those games unless it is for an achievment.

Except it is not RNG. Yakuza and Judgement games are proven to have not random casino games. They are all pre-saved numbers and are skewed towards the dealer all the time.

Since this was bumped recently.

Its intentional. 0 was right before a giant market crash in the 80s. Being rich and full of money you could just toss at anything was a big part of 0s setting.

1 is years after that already crashed, so money being more difficult to keep makes sense.
