Dragon style seems sort of useless.
Maybe I just really don't understand it but Dragon style doesn't seem to work properly. I have the ability to use heat actions but when the aura appears to use it on Majima while he's healing it literally will not let me do anything.

Just some one tell me what Dragon style is useful for, cause so far I haven't really utilized it at all and it hasn't seemed to hinder me.

You need to unlock moves, it's undoubtedly the best style in the game and you're following the theme of "Kiryu's getting back in shape" by unlocking moves in that style. Early game it's practically useless, yes, but later on you'll shape and will use it most of the time.

Honestly it seems like beast is the best because you're immune to all damage in resist guard if you have it fully upgraded so long as you have your heat gauge charged up which is way faster than regaining the full strength of Dragon style. Plus you can use the amulet to increase its attack damage. It's a very noob friendly solution that I'm not ashamed to admit I've been using to cheese every instance of Majima.

Welp, good luck with late game Majimas, Coliseum enemies and secret sidequest boss :P
If you'll manage to beat them in Beast - I'll drink to that.

A common opinion, and one thats understandable
Dragon is only progressable through majima everywhere in which the story needs to be done to fully complete it. Dont bother using it, use rush and beast where neccessary and upgrade those.
In kiwami 2 youll end up using dragon as the only battle style with the others sprinkled in here and there

Which "Secret side quest boss"?

Also yes I was talking about late game Majimas, it's easy. Just make sure you have you're in at least basic heat mode and do resist guard and tank the attacks, he can't do more than fractional damage to you which is essentially harmless. Then give him some tanky swings and repeat, keep heat raising items on you just in case he starts an attack and drops your heat in the middle of your attack, which he does quite often.

Hes on about the amon brothers. If you played any other yakuza game youll know about them. And they are harder than 10 majimas at once

Pretty sure I beat the Amon brothers a long time ago.

Never actually unlocked it. I reloaded my save and am currently trying to 100% complete that game or as close to it as I can, before starting a new game in adventure mode.

Dragon style seems fun , I feel real Kiryu while using it.

and as mentioned above - tiger drop is your best friend on Legendary difficulty

Just thought I'd let you know I just beat Majima with beast style in the "Settling the Score" battle at the Yoshida Batting Center. Pick your poison.

It's very easy to do this technique. Use the gauntless to make yourself practically immune to his knife, and then in resist guard you get 360 degree protection from his attacks, just swing on him when he's finished attacking. Build up heat from hitting him, then while blocking you can press Q to bear hug him once you have enough heat. Just repeat this process. You can use beast to cheese most bosses that aren't scripted to require a specific fighting style to defeat.

I went back and unlocked tiger drop and I have to admit, a well timed tiger drop makes all the difference.

It sure does, at first your like this is impossible to time right and bang your in tune and the game drops in difficulty. i think Climax Battles would be nearly impossible without it

Nah, I beat the game without tiger dropped unlocked before and it wasn’t that hard. Maybe on Legendary sure.
