Can't spin in bowling.

I've quit to desktop and reloaded. I've tried resetting controls to default. I still can't apply spin to the bowling balls. Is there a fix for this?

Yes. I recently just got a brand new XB1 controller. I don't have a wireless adapter so it is wired into a USB port.

in that case check steam controller config settings

You should hold left stick in desired direction to full bar and then tap it to decrese. Kinda unintuitive at first few, mostly cause there's some delay before spin.

That fixed the issue, I was not using the steam controller config at all. Since I started using the steam controller config, spinning now works.

Makes me wonder how you were able to get there at all if left stick is directional input and steam hooking xinput natively when no other driver interfering.
Oh well, console ports being console ports i guess.

For anyone still wondering what's wrong with spin in this game, I pressed the Left-face button (X on Xbox, square on Playstation) and that fixed my ball not spinning. Just gonna leave my answer here for those who stumble across this discussion
