when Majima uses a bat, back up and let him start his bat combo and try to avoid the first swing, there's a pause then he goes into his other swing attacks, it's the most prevalent combo he has. Anyway, aim for the second attack in the combo by moving into him, it's the easiest to Tiger Drop. since he practically spams that combo if you just move backward away from him (dodge roll when you hit a wall or obstacle), it's really good practice. The Colliseum has 80% attacks that are right on top of you, these have a larger window so are easier to get off if you time it right. if you're throwing out teep kicks, then you're pushing the button too early.
With enough training you can even use Tiger Drop on reaction even before the enemy hits you.0
He has super armor and doesn't get knocked down, so if you counter in the middle of the combo, you'll get hit by the rest of it.
Not always, Tiger Drops interrupts his combo most often, but it's maybe difficult to pull off consistently.
That's why Parry is a safer option - you stun Majima in addition to stopping his combo, and you get to counter with a combo of your own.
If you want a safe way, dance around with Quicksteps in Rush mode when Majima attacks until you build heat, then execute Sumo Slapping from afar. Absolutely safe, rinse repeat, any Majima dead.
Best tiger drop window on slugger majima is when he finished his 7 hit combo with rolling attack (guarantee hit) and when he pull bat nunchaku, although you can tiger drop him up to 3 times when he do bat nunchaku, you need to be careful about the your range. Slugger majima vs tiger drop is high risk high reward strategy
Easiest tiger drop vs Majima is on breaker Majima, you can hit him up to 3 times until his combo is uninterruptible, to finish him quick get times for destruction soul ability
Seriously to learn tiger drop is practice, watch for enemy attack animation. Hell you can one shot masami onitake with tiger drop + time for destruction + boozer belt + max drunk
I tried defeating Majima with rush style. That worked, but it took like forever until he was finally down. That made the fights really tedious. So i eventually just gave up on fighting him and instead focused on the main story. Fortunately tiger drop worked pretty well in the final battle against Nishki, so I could defeat him rather easy. But some of the previous bossfights were really annoying. Since they were so quick and could evade your hits most of the time, I spent most time dashing around and trying to land a hit. That worked, but it took ages and was not really fun.
One thing that works well is to use the Rush style R1 + O dodge attack and then combo him from behind with just two hits. Cancel to Brawler or Dragon if upgraded enough to keep comboing him from behind and he'll be dead in no time.
