SPOILERS: Why is Jingu considered so hard?

I just beat him with only a Lightsaber, which downed him in ~10 hits, along with his buddies. Is this fight easy because I'm not playing on EX-Hard/Legend, or am I missing something?

EDIT: Yes, I have exaggerated a tiny bit about the fact that it's just 10 hits, but it didn't take a lot of hits to take him down with a weapon in the first place.

Hmm yeah, if your first run is on hard it could be way more difficult than normal but also a lot of people are not really prepared in terms of already mastered the 3 styles and how to properly use and upgrade a lot dragon or bring enough weapons (Guns are pretty strong, you could use one just like them lol) , plus the knockdowns are pretty annoying, and sometimes the camera or something else screw you thanks to the game mechanics. But tbh he wasn't thaat bad, the most annoying for me was the guy in the roof, forgot the name but damn, knockdowns were real, I REALLY learned Rush style there lol.

I fought him on normal difficulty and thought he was the hardest boss in the game, I didn't use any weapons though. Whenever I tried to hit him he immedialty shot me, felt like cheating on his side.
Edit: I thought you meant the guy with the two pistols, whoops. That one was the hardest.

Admitedly I guess most players doesn't use weapoms during the fight and simply use fist. I know I did and boy was it challenging.

Jingu himself is not that hard, it's his 2 bodyguard that's the main problem. You try to get close him he keeps his distance while his bodyguards gang up on you, you fight his bodyguards and Jingu shoots you.

After the bodyguards went down the fight becomes way easier.

Using heat moves on that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with a weapon equip is probably easy mode hehe

Didn't use a single heat move, and it was on Hard mode.

Just saying that is one way around it but actually I think dealing with Jingu trash mobs or more annoying

Are you bragging about beating a boss on normal using a weapon? cause your question is kinda self explanatory.

Yea should up to Legend some of those boss fights are brutal on that difficulty

It's not merely the difficulty, but the frustration factor. Facing three gun wielding enemies means constant knockdowns. If you try to go for Jingu, his bodyguards will rip you apart - and once he gains red aura, he'll shoot multiple times in row. If you go for the colonels, he'll throw a grenade just as you're starting to do some damage - and it takes a huge chunk of health. Can't really land a solid combo on anyone, because they either have super armor or you have to dodge another gunshot.

And then they get up and you have to start over. Knives might be slightly less frustrating than guns, but it's yet another source of knockbacks - with extra QTE on top of that.

Also, if you fail, you have to start over at the staircase, dealing with cannon fodder again... and Sergeants, who aren't exactly pushovers. ♥♥♥♥ this boss.

How did you down him using lightsaber (without heat actions) in ~10 hits on hard??? I played on hard and lightsaber did ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ without using heat actions.

A huge overexaggeration or "10 hits" actually means "10 hits after I already dealt with both colonels and dropped him to half health using everything else".

yeah i just finished the game and that entire chapter was extremely frustrating. thank god I got tiger drop. I managed to end jingu in only a few hits with tiger drop but that entire fight was probably a good 15 minutes dealing with his two buddies who became zombies after i downed them the first time.

I didn't mean to brag, but it's just... everyone who has fought this boss before that I've talked to said that it's the hardest boss in the entire series. When I found out that that wasn't the case, I was really disappointed. That's why I thought I was missing something.

A little bit exaggerated. It took more than that, but definitely not a lot.
