I haven't played Kiwami 2 but most of my friends said is the better in the series rn.
Okay I get that but now I'm noticing every 5 minutes I get attacked by a transvestite or transsexual lol
Were all these in the original? A relic of the times I guess.
Since it's a remake of the first game it was probably to be expected. But I'm just very disappointed playing it after a great game like 0.
The thing about the side quests is actually a conundrum since they were there in the original, so if you changed them up you'd have old fans screaming bloody murder that "THEY CHANGED IT" and if you leave them be, new players that started with 0 will be disappointed.
Also finally Tiger Drop.
And the best thing Kiwami has over 0: no f*cking RNG-fest Disco Minigame plastered over 7 substories... which means you can actually fight Amon in this game.
Disclaimer: The above point is in no way a display of personal disfavour towards said minigame. A study conducted by Touhou University professors has in fact proven that those sub stories are incompletable ;)
Dancing was my favourite minigame though :(
And yes, I am bad at rythm games... Loved Karaoke though
Even then is Dead Souls a bad game though? Sure it's my pick for the worst game in the Yakuza series, but there were still things I found enjoyable about it. This was the first Yakuza game to feature Majima as a playable character and the boss battles could get pretty intense. Also Majima's theme was awesome and my favorite theme from the game so I'm glad they brought it back for that one segment in Kiwami. That being said, combat against regular zombies did become boring and repetitive (not to mention those god-awful forced partner sections) and I did find the side quests and exploration pretty lackluster.
Funny enough it is through Dead Souls that I was able to get one of my best friends into the Yakuza series. He is a big zombie game fanatic and borrowed the game from me because it looked cool. After playing through the game, he really enjoyed the story and characters and was willing to give the main series a try. From there he proceeded to play through the entire series (including Kenzan and Ishin) and is now one of the biggest Yakuza fans out there.
Hard to compare 8th game in the series to 1st game remake since we mostly never played yakuza 1 (i never had PS console in my life) and the news for SEGA bringing RGG 6 to PC is a very great news to test their dragon engine on PC and hopefully we got Kiwami 2.
So far i can praise Kiwami 2 for bringing more Majima humor, can't stop watching his bomb defusal scene on yt
All I heard is that the remake is genuinely good and the PC port is fantastic.
There is no news that SEGA is bringing Yakuza 6 to PC. If you're referring to this financial report[www.vg247.com], that is not news! That is possibly just a typo, not a confirmation.
