Is yakuza Kiwami 2 a terrible too?

So i just beat Yakuza Kiwami right after Yakuza 0(one of the best game i have ever played) and im completely shocked how indescribable bad this game was. Literally everything about this game is bad. The most annoying secondary characters, absolutely inappropriate boring music(i don't know how is this possible, because yakuza 0 had AMAZING music) and even almost every second substorie was crap like 'wow dude u just crashed into me, pay me or fight"
The main story was OK but i seriously lost my ♥♥♥♥ laughing when the entire Kiryu's famili just died due to the fact that he could not kill the the most worst man in the world LUL
Ofc i know that Kiwami is just a remaster of a old game, but I am very surprised at how bad was it, especially after Zero. So i I wanted to ask if any next Yakuza games will be as good as Zero? Should i wait?

You're comparing a new (relatively) game to a remastered version of the original/first game in the franchise, which released over a decade, and half a dozen instalments before it, AND you're disappointed that the remaster isn't as good as the newest game?
This. This is why people don't take forums seriously.

Kiwami is essentially just the prettiest 14 year old game on Steam. If you were expecting more than that, you should avoid remasters and anniversary releases in future.

Remasters and remakes are both completely things.

Ryū Ga Gotoku 1&2 HD Edition is best described as a remaster because it's literally the same PS2 games but enhanced for the PS3 and the WiiU.

Yakuza Kiwami is best described as a remake because that's what it literally is. They remade the first game with 0's engine and newer assets that aren't from the original game.

Yakuza kiwami is mediocre, yakuza 1 is rough but good for what it is, yakuza 2 is the best in the series, yakuza kiwami 2 is the worst in the series.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 comes second after Yakuza 0 in terms of BEST IN THE SERIES. However, I admit that Kiwami doesn't hold a candle in front of 0, but still it's still fun and have an above average storyline.

each to there own. As much as i love 0 i felt the pacing was off in places and even though the story was fanastic, it dragged sometimes. Going into kiwami the pace was just a breath of fresh air and if you just play for story, which i do then it was great to just do story mission after story mission without any road blocks in the way. Id say the story isnt quite as good but its a prity solid game for the first yakuza game.
Kiwami 2 however is my fav , not sure how some think its the worst? but ok i think its great. all yakuza games are great in there own way, i just love the style of the way there made.

My friend tells me you play Yakuza 1 so you can play Yakuza 2. Apparently that's how highly the second game is thought of. So I guess we wait for Kiwami 2 now.

Played on Ps2 and now that i have beaten Kiwami and did almost everything....i feel sad that not even a possible release date is coming....

Kiwami 2 is vastly superior to Kiwami 1.

I'd say its a close 2nd to 0, but its ultimately preference.

Says you, I really enjoy Yakuza 6 as an ending to Kiryu's story. Overall better than Kiwami.

Funnily enough, Yakuza 6 is the "next" game released after Kiwami, with Kiwami 2 released after 6.

Kiwami 2 or the original 2 is considered am overal improvement to K1/1 and I can personally agree to that assessment, and most fans agree storywise that it's one of the best in the series.
