How does the climax heat work?

I can't interrup enemies healing. I change to the style matching their color when they lean down having that red gauge full but I can't do anything.
It's so game losing having them regen like half hp in total.

Not fully understand but it supposed to work like:
- enemy starting healing up and glowing with blue/yellow/pink
- you must have enough heat to perform heat action and on the following traits from the Soul Tree:
Essense of Extreme Brawler/Rush/Beast

Then you just press heat actions button.

The game doesn't make this clear enough but you actually have to unlock those kiwami moves from the abilities screen.

They work during the tutorial but then you lose all of your abilities and must upgrade them once the game really starts.

Caught me out too at first.

You have to be in the correct stance according to what color they are say they are in purple then switch to rush style to do the heat actions require

You need :
Buy the actual abilities for each style in the Soul Tree.
Have more than one heat bar.
Corresponding color ( Blue heal aura for blue style for exemple ).
Press triangle when near the boss when he heals. Use the same style color as he uses.

I almost finished the game now and didn't even know about this. There are certain combos that are strong enough to deal more damage than the boss has healed so far, like in rush: 7 times X and then Y (charged if possible) or in beast you can do X X and then charged X
