How does Yakuza Kiwami differ from Yakuza ?
Except updated graphics and gameplay, is for an example Goro playable again ?

It's a extreme remake of Yakuza 1 from PS2 version.

You don't play as Goro Majima but you will constantly fight him with the Majima Everywhere system (original doesn't have).

Gameplay:
Kiwami reuses all four combat style from Yakzua 0 with the few improvements, unlike the original that uses that one repetitive combat style (mainly use of Dragon of Dojima style).

This might be the last game that uses the old Yakuza engine (including Fist of the North Star) and continues with the new Dragon engine (wish they could've improve the 30 fps and
aliasing issue).

Thing is they made Goro likeable in Yakuza 0, never really understood why he constantly tried to kill Kiury in the PS3 games (Never played Yakuza 3 because I read it was censored to hell in West).

Mainly: combat is like in 0 (slightly better), some story cutscenes are extended, japanese dubbing instead of english.

I'm still trying to understand what genius would sell a Japanese game set in Japan about Japanese gangsters using Japanese humour...with an English dub. I know the general public is a bit chauvinistic, but you won't sell more of a game from an already niche genre (in the West) by pulling that kind of offensive ♥♥♥♥.
Also a good thing for Sega to get rid of the English dub, and I hope that it'll be a permanent trend in gaming from now on. More money spend on actual useful stuff.

Judgement, latest game from Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, is confirmed to have English dub.

Just saying.

Japanese dub is wildly known to be super expensive to license.

Depends on VA contracts, in the case of the original Yakuza it seems to have been more of a deliberate marketing decision by Sega's western operation, given they seem to have had little problem getting the original voices for the later games. Now I'll freely admit that Sega's western operation made a lot of questionable marketing decisions around this game series that in the long run turned out not to be conducive to actually, well, selling copies of the games in question.

In the modern age they aren't limited by physical media so optional dubs are possible. English dubs expand the reach of your product, the investment is good for business. If the customer doesn't like the dub then you can just ignore it, it's just an option after all.

Judgement is also their best game IMO. Although I own all the yakuza games still have not got round to kenzan, isshin and 3-5.

although honestly I do not see them topping Judgement. I completed the JP version, still got some side stuff to do. The story is absolutely brilliant, the combat is extremely solid, the side stuff is solid it's just an absolute gem of a game.

as for Kiwami it is extremely different from the original in graphics and gameplay, there's a few mechanical changes, like the Majima system already mentioned.

I'm praying judgement comes to PC

- Activities largely are copypasta'd from Yakuza 0 or at least remixed in some way to not be 1:1 port jobs.
- Kamurocho navigation does not involve fixed cameras.
- You do not enter battle segments on the streets in RPG-style.
- Some sidestories from Yakuza 0 continue in Kiwami.
- Majima encounters basically have become the game's B-Plot.
