How exactly Majima met Kiryu? I dont remember such thing during Yakuza 0. They never met each other. Thx.

I did not mention it because there is no explaining at this scene so that why I am saking here. Maybe someone will know.

They actually knew each other before Yakuza 0.

Yakuza Kiwami heavily retcons their relationship and Majima's obsession with Kiryu. In the original game, Majima is present in 3 scenes; the introduction, the fight at the batting cage and the fight at the soapland.

We get hints and clues as to how deep their friendship and respect is throughout each game. Yakuza 2 is the only one where we get some sort of hint as to how the relationship started, where Kiryu states that he learned a lot from Majima and/or that he was his aniki. This implies that Majima took a liking to Kiryu when he entered the Tojo clan and took him under his wing for a bit.

TL;DR: No, they never explain how they met or why/how they became friends. All we know is that they knew each other before the events of Yakuza 0 and them meeting after the credits is just a little fan-service

That's not true at all. In older games it was never really stated when exactly they met. Then Y0 happened and made it clear that they didn't even hear about each other before Empty Lot events.

This applies even if they met after Y0... Majima is older than Kiryu, joined yakuza years before him and his rank is higher. That's why Kiryu calls him san/aniki/nii-san.

Post credits scene suggest that it's their first meeting ever and they react the way they do because they already heard a lot about each other.

No, they heard about each-other in passing throughout the events of 0, but the post-credits scene is their first face-to-face enounter.

Everything else about their budding relationship happens offcreen between games.

I have played it on PS4 sometime ago. For some reason I forgot about the parts where they show they don't know each other. Hell, I forgot that Lau Ka Long had proper history with Kiryu before Yakuza 1 until I replayed the first game a couple of weeks ago
