i just did too and same result. no way to press the menu button.

what i did figure out is how to baby get the menu into VR by opening steam VR first but still having the same issue with the menu button not working.

This may have been the result of some settings I changed for the private testing build, I believe it should be fixed now.

Nope. Nothing happened. I redownloaded the game. It still puts me into a theater thing. No buttons work

Oculus Quest 2. Im trying the other one on itch.io. gotta wait for the headset to charge since some idiot didnt plug it up. (me)

I've seen a few reports of Quest 2 not working. The prototype is very old, and as such does not properly support Quest 2, which would explain why it doesn't work.

If you are on Quest 2, it won't work. If it doesn't work otherwise, try the version on itch.io.

it crashes within a minute of launching on steam and on itch.io i also am using rift s
