Regular attack/charge/hyper is all different from one to another
The gameplay is exactly what you expected of a mindless hack and slash game, both good and fun
Everyone has for the most part their own unique style, but, if you're expecting entirely new movesets from the characters/games they were from, you're not going to get anything special, as the movesets are copied directly from the games the characters were in.
That being said, I find the Samurai Warriors combat/gameplay a bit lacking compared to Dynasty Warrios characters, especially since Dynasty Warriors 8, they introduced EX moves, maybe even earlier than DW8 I can't remember, point is; playing the Samurai Warriors characters seems to be a bit lack luster, compared to the DW characters. That is just my opinion. Can't say I've used anyone longer than one mission from Samurai Warriors, due to that fact.
The gameplay is like the others say: You are basically farming doing the same stuff over and over again. That's what this series is about. It's a very relaxing way of playing imo, I get tired really fast and need to take breaks with most games, but warriors games I can play all day long. It's just fun and not draining on your reserves.
Most, not all. The characters missing are the introductions of SW Spirit of Sanada and DW9. Furthermore the guest characters from other Koei games of WO3 are also not in. Honestly, the only characters I'm missing for real are Chacha, Sasuke, Cheng Pu and Joanne of Arc. Everyone else I'm sort of neutral towards.
Ülease stop that DW9 trolling. Thee wans't a single unique character only a clone army with different skins.
But I agree with Sandamaur. Not only this game was awesome, Masayuki and adult Yukimaru were expectional characters - regarding moveset and design. Not to forget Sasuke...
I also agree with the guest characters. Joanne, Ryu, Sterkenburg were walkign fortesses on the battlefield.
A thing I haven't found any answers on is if difficulty increases/decreases any kind of rewards? EXP gain etc
Doesn't change the fact that these characters are missing from the game. Please stop being rude and acting entitled.
Whohoo glad we were of help! Enjoy your game!
Lol wo4 was in development before dw9. Same for sw sandra. So thats why they sid not make the cut.
And ow did not revert back to oold maps tossing dw9 out. Again wo was developed before 9.
So we will see when dw 10 hits.
Because in the 8 months since the release of DW9 and the 17 months since the release of SoS it was not humanly possible to program the few new introductions in, right? And that's not even taking into consideration that both games are made by Omega Force so technically someone there must have known all details to all characters way earlier already.
No one here said anything about maps dude.
But the extend of their "clonesness" can be equate to Ryu, Akuma and Dan from Street Fighters, respectively. They share similar square strings and some triangle finishers but Orochi X has some different Charge and magic from Orochi that makes him stands out (the Akuma to Ryu as you will)
Similarly, Diamondback is the Dan of the group as he's the Orochi imitator, his moveset is a copy of Orochi, except much, much slower and has gimped special effects (instead of Orochi's big lightning, he gets a little dirt stomp and tiny fireballs, it's kinda hilarious), and his musou and magic are different from the two Orochi's.
Some people may even bring up Nene/Kunoichi and Kotaro/Dodomeki, but at this point the only thing similar about the pairs are the square strings, aside from that they're as different as they can be in terms of gameplay
