HELP ME ARGGGG

I'm trying to unlock The Promised Rinascimento. I have followed the guide exactly, saved right before the call, and IMMEDIATELY open my phone. I see there are two highlighted options, Answer or Reject. I Highlight the ANSWER option and click, and every single time rintaro hesitates and I get the wrong chapter. I am so so so so frustrated. I spent the last 20 minutes trying every possible way to get him to answer the phone, using both my controller and my mouse and keyboard, but I haven't gotten it to work.

He will NOT answer it no matter what I do, and I feel like I'm at my wits end. TBH, I've never been this frustrated with a game. Please help me, I have no idea what is going on and I tried googling this already. Everybody just says "make sure you highlight answer using the D PAD", which I did. Even more weird, reject and answer are actually reversed on my screen, so when I scroll to answer it automatically highlights reject. I tried to just hit reject in case it was some kind of bug, but no go. Does ANYONE have any idea what I can do? Thanks :)

If the chapter you end up in is Antinomic Dual, you're going the right way

Antinomic Dual is where that choice appears. Answering the call leads to "The Promised Rinascimento" chapter/ending, ignoring it leads you to "Recursive Mother Goose" chapter/ending.

@OP, maybe a stupid question, but are you trying to answer it right away? Because if you wait for a bit (to read more of Okabe's internal monologue), at one point the game itself prevents you from answering, thinking that you've made your choice already.

Oh, I had it confused with the choice to get AD or TA
