hit sounds not working?

for whatever reason, my hit sounds have inexplicably stopped working on certain tracking scenarios. the hit sounds seem to only play on the first frame i have my crosshair on the bot, and on the very last frame before my crosshair moves off (but even then, sometimes no hit sounds play at all). i tried messing around with my sound settings (changing the hit sound, changing the hit sound cooldown, changing hit volume under the sound tab, etc.) but nothing worked. oddly enough, this only seems to be an issue on ~50% of the tracking scenarios i play. even on scenarios that use the same exact weapon, only a certain few have this issue. does anyone know what this is? is anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: it seems that the scenarios affected by this bug are ones that i had just started to play in the past week. pretty much every scenario that i had been playing before that seems to work fine. i did some research and found that certain scenarios have been breaking as of the few most recent patches. could this be connected to that?
