Making the targets thinner forces you to not jitter to hit the target at all. I found that I was gripping my mouse too hard, which caused me to lock my wrist in place. Relaxing the tensor muscles in my hand allowed my wrist to move in a more fluid motion.
As far as reaction time is concerned, my best suggestion is to just keep grinding and to not think too hard. It sounds silly, but the more you focus on "I need to react," the harder it becomes to do so. Just focus on your body and performing the task at hand.
Thanks a ton, I have done some thin aiming long and it helped. But a big problem with close strafes is I just kinda randomly start flicking around and can't really follow it. For Thin I can track it easily since it is not really doing any fast back and forth movements and is just moving in a smooth straight line. This advice is really good though, thank you so much for the advice and I will def start grinding these maps.
