Flick Training Suggestions/Tips
If I wrote this when I first started I would say my flicking is my strong suit, but now around 15 hours into Kovaaks(Yeah I know, im a noob lol) that is not the case. In fact, around hour 5 in I realized a real weakness of mine was tracking, so I started training that, now I am not done with tracking ofc, but I am content with my scores. I went back to flicking recently and was failing miserably. There is no leaderboard for 1wall6targets TE/Small as far as i know, so I have no gauge for my skill, but going from 600-2k leaderboard rank on most tracking maps, to 120 points(prob below medium by a decent amount) on 1wall6targets TE made me realize how much I need to improve my flicking, and kinda embarrassed me. I play rainbow, and I would say flicking is much more useful than strafing so I want to ask you Veterans what are some good maps, suggestions/tips, and maybe even routines for training flicks that you guys have. Yeah sorry for giving my entire life story lol, thanks!

When it comes to 1wall6targets TE there tends to be two styles. The tracking style where you essentially track over the targets and click at the right time, or flicking target to target. You are sitting somewhere in the middle with deliberate, slower movements between targets but not quite tracking over.

If you're looking to improve your flicks, i'd recommend trying to actually flick from target to target like this - https://gyazo.com/107ffc4c8530714e910c222798143a33

Don't worry too much about how many targets you're killing, just find a nice cadence and avoid those deliberate slow movements to the target. You may start missing much more, but you'll get better quickly.

There's leaderboards for every map, you should be able to see it here - https://gyazo.com/06b3e1780dc42e8b2542a10dc4d1f252 if you click the podium on the right or finish a round of challenge mode.

The Trainer has a skill tree for flicking, i'd recommend trying that with the ASP weapon.

Small dot scenarios in the Sandbox are great for working on flicks/precision. You'll want to stay away from maps that are very fast like Tile Frenzy. 1wall6targets small, 1wall2targets smallflicks 60s, 1wall6targets TE, pattargetswitch small are some good maps to start with.

Should I try to be slower and have more control? What should I do If I overflick on a target, should I readjust(It happens kinda subconsciously and very fast. Usually I only overflick slightly and then readjust. but maybe I should try to just flick on target by going slower at first?)

If you have footage I could watch that would be very helpful to see. Flicks in The Trainer should be Flick > Click, shouldn't really be trying to readjust except for the maps with the bubbles around the target.

On maps like 1wall6targets small you'll almost always need to flick > adjust > click which is totally fine but as you said it happens subconsciously and very quickly. I would recommend keeping your flicks fast and crisp, but taking a moment between each shot such that each flick it's own action. If you try to move between targets too quickly things get messy.

Yeah I have footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgkLKLVSJm4

As you can see I undershoot/overshoot quite a lot.
