KovaaK 2.0: The Meta update. Known issues and workarounds

Passwords can’t contain periods, commas, question marks, pound, brackets, or underscores.

Workaround:

Right now the pw regex doesn't support the full list of characters. The pw regex does support the following special characters: !@#$%^&*
We will absolutely add to the list of special characters supported -- planning on supporting these: !"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[]^`{|}~
But for now, please use: !@#$%^&* for the special characters. Thanks and sorry for the trouble.



Epic Games account doesn’t allow for non-standard characters.

Workaround:

this account isn’t verified at the moment, so you can leave it blank.



Sandbox is very dark.

Workaround:

Change sky color to something brighter, then close and re-open the Sandbox.


Sandbox custom files are missing.

Workaround:

Your old files should still be located at \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\FPSAimTrainer\FPSAimTrainer\. If you copy the crosshairs, sounds, etc over to \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\TheMeta\TheMeta\, they will be accessible.


Sandbox high scores are missing.

Workaround:

%localappdata%\FPSAimTrainer\Saved\SaveGames\ has your old highscores.sav file. If you copy that to %localappdata%\TheMeta\Saved\SaveGames\ it will transfer over. (This should have happened automatically...)


Game stuck on “Streaming Data.”
We are actively investigating this issue and will get you info as soon as we have it sorted! Update: Our data streaming platform scales up with demand, and so as more people play things will get faster. However, there are also plans to improve client side caching and network prediction techniques, eventually removing all pain associated with “Streaming Data.”


Game goes to black screen after intro video.
Some users have gotten around this by deleting %localappdata%\TheMeta\temp.swp then creating a fresh account (email address verification is not necessary at the moment). Update: We’ve found an issue with how we handle certain login references in our database. We expect a fix soon. Update 2: A back end fix has been made, and those “frozen” logins should work now.


I want to use a different game for sensitivity, aka i want the original kovaaks back.

You still can -- just go to the Sandbox and change as you normally would.

Why do I need to create an account?
In order to bring you all sorts of cool features (leaderboards outside of Steam, following other players without friending, viewing user profile with configuration settings/mouse/etc), we are establishing an account system. Once you log-in, you are set. We won’t sell your info.


Why are you asking me about Overwatch and Fortnite - I don’t care about those games. You can still work on whatever game you want in the Sandbox - nothing has changed there. These account name entries will be removed very soon. The Flicking trainer is focused on Overwatch and Fortnite weapons right now, but we’ll be adding more game support. Let us know what you’d like to see!

Fix UI, give option to choice Kovak aim traning or Sandbox before full game loading and do not change my sandbox (Apex Legends) settings to Overwatch when I reentry to sandbox or reopen application.

and that flick traning can be applied to any game (mouse sensitivity) just add more mouses.

Ok, i dont cry, but i buy this game to train aim in rainbow 6, fnd now I cant even make my sensitiviti like that.

PLS, make some, that we can launche old version or add rainbow 6 to train program

I feel like harsh criticism doesn't help improve things. We need changes in order to grow. Give it time. They are trying something different for us.

post to next ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot commend, in this update you can go to sandbox mode which is old Kovak with all old maps, online scenarios and local(you need copy file from folder to folder). And in old Kovak mode you can push ESC button and go into old options which has old settings.

And do you think to release an update with several handmade fixes for some of the issues and none for others, is an improvement?

Hey, wtf? I do not play fortnite or overwatch, why I can't just train for Apex? Why I have to register? And it's not all ♥♥♥♥. I can't register, my 8 or 9 or 15 length password with upper and lower case letters with symbols and numbers not allowed

I dont want to register in 3rd party service and provide my personal data to them just to be able to play a simple aim practice mod.
Such info should be reflected on the store page of the content before I buy it.
