static targets
I've only played around with the editor a little bit, but as far as I could see there was no way to make a static target of any kind. I want to make a scenario where there's a grid of points that provide some sort of feedback when you shoot them, so you can build flick muscle memory. Is there any way to do this with the way the bots/targets work currently?

There are a few scenarios on the workshop that do similar. Type "Flick" in the search field in game and it should bring up a bunch, including the "1wall<x>targets" scenarios and fastx2. If the existing ones aren't what you are looking for, you can probably use one as a starting point.

A way to do this is to take one of the 1wall scenarios and make a map with spawn points in the grid you want. Set the bots to respawn instantly and only have enough bots to satisfy all the spawns. That probably would accomplish your goal.

that's pretty close ckap, thanks, can you set exact spawn coordinates so as they stay in that shape though?

Yep! Spawn points are defined.
