Holding My Mouse.
How do you guys/girls hold your mouse? I have been feeling uncomfortable recently with claw (Its my go to) and would like to know if I should change my grip or keep it the same. Also if you know why this is happening that would help too!

As much as this can be good, remember that when you use a palm grip you're more stable. With palm you can have steadier and smoother aim.

Maybe try learning to switch between the two depending on the situation you're in during a game? :)

I cannot give a solid answer as to why this happens, but maybe you're someone that likes change or something along the lines of that. Some people like to hold their mouse with a their pointer finger on m1 and middle on m2, while using the thumb and ring & pinky finger to actually 'grip' the mouse. I personally have my pointer finger on m1, middle above my mwheel and ring finger on m2 while my thumb and pinky finger fully grip the mouse (my middle finger also grips above the mwheel to avoid accidental scrolling.)

All I can suggest is try different things, you can't get anywhere if you don't try:)

If your mechanics have been improving recently (your aim has been getting better, that might be why. You will outgrow different grip styles as you play and might need to adjust it. Had this phenomena happen to me and 2 other friends. Specifically me when I started playing kovaaks. 2 years kovaaks free my grip was always a good palm. But 5 weeks into click timing and tracking scenarios and my grip style has evolved into a palm/claw hybrid with my fingers clawing but me still palming the mouse. Just mix it up, play some scenarios and don't think about your grip or aiming while doing it, just feel comfortable and after a while look over to how you're gripping your mouse. Think too hard and it'll be uncomfortable. Me looking over to my grip while in flow state is literally how i found out my grip changed. Don't be worried about losing skill, you'll maintain it and even grow in skill if your mechanics need a different grip style to grow.

I personally have always used a Palm-Fingertip hybrid, (more on the palm side) since I've always found it the most comfortable. however, I will admit that for best aim, you should use fingertip grip on a small mouse, Since it gives you the widest range of motion.
