Stuck in bookshelves design table tutorial on Steamdeck, tutorial does not progress

In the bookshelves design table tutorial, I get stuck after a few steps. Up until the zoom camera step it works fine, but when I am prompted to zoom the camera using RT the tutorial does not understand when I successfully has used RT to zoom, and does not continue to the next instruktion. So the actual zooming works, but I do not proceed in the tutorial. I can use Y to start adding pieces, but I cannot save the design (neither Save nor B works in this stuck phase). I have tried shutting down the game by force, since I cannot get out of the tutorial, and it loads up fine, but when I go back to the workshop for a new attempt, I get stuck at exactly the same step again. Playing on the Steamdeck, and have not seen any other issues so far.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I’m also playing on the deck. Were you able to fix it?

Sadly, I'm also stuck here. Tried with Xbox, PS5 and Stadia controllers. It won't register that I've pressed RT, and therefore I can't progress through the tutorial.

Edit to mention: I'm also playing on Steam Deck.

Hey 👋🏼 although the game is telling you to click RT, have you double checked this is registered in your keybinds?

Yeah, just double checked. It's definitely mapped to Right Trigger (I even just tried to map it to something different but that didn't work either).
Shame, I really hoped you were onto something there. :-)

im stuck here as well im playing a laptop using xbox controller. nothing is working so frustrating has ive already had to restart a new game

While holding the RT button you have to use the joystick.

it doesn't register it as moving. so the only way i could do it was to add a piece of wood to the bookshelf and guess how to do it. otherwise i cant get off it

Did this work, allowing you to progress forward? I have no idea where the piece of shelving needs to go. 🫤


Edit: I was able to make progress by fudging a terrible shelf, ignoring the on-screen instructions and guessing what the game wanted me to do.

I am now able to progress forward in the game - just wanted to let other people know how I did it. 😀

I got stuck here too. All I could do is to add a couple of shelves and then it let me continue. The shelves look crappy though lol.

In case anyone on PC is also stuck, it tells you that the pan-camera control is clicking the mouse scroll wheel, but it's actually the space bar. Hold space while moving the cursor. I have not changed the control binding at all.
