paint?

its me again with another question! so poe wanted brown paint and i couldnt deliver cos all i could craft is brown clothing dye. how do i obtain pain? sally isnt selling the blueprint for this

You first need to buy 'glue' at the shop (that is the base for normal paint) and then mix it with some brown leaves at the workbench (exactly like the for the dye).
Though Sally should sell you the paint recepies same as for the cloth dyes.

Just make sure it is the right shade of brown though there are a few for each color.

To unlock the crafting recipie at Sally's store for normal paint you need to finish the final tutorial quest, the very last tutorial quest unlocks paint in Sally's store and the quest is to paint a picnic bench :)

so i should just keep taking with villagers and it'll eventuality get the last quest?

also can you help me with getting villagers to move in? only Benny and Poe moved. I literally have two empty hoses built and no one is coming even tho I've been talking with guests and telling them to move. none did yet

You have to assign a house to a villager. it's a rectangle right of the door. Click it and it tells you how at the bottom of the screen.

you can also use that sign to move a villager out of a house - including yourself - that means if you build a bigger house you can evict yourself from the starting house and then move into the new one.

You want to use the white sign post outside the houses to move people in but you will have to meet them at Oma's inn during the lunch 11am-3pm or Dinner 5pm-9pm times first to get them to want to move into town, but after speaking with them and go into the next day you can then use the white signs outside the houses to move them into town

But if you are still doing tutorial quests you don't want to move too many people into town or else you will just get more paint requests instead of tutorial quests given to you

Do you currently have the tutorial quest where they've given you a bed to edit? That quest is to remove the pink flowers on the bed not to paint it if so.

Wallpapers, creating a custom desgin, paint, fabric dye, bugs, fish are all basic normal requests so I can't tell where you are in tutorial with that unless you have the '

There are some tutorial quests which introduce you to the main mechanics of the workshop.

- The quest @666reddog: mentioned is a tutorial that unlocks the 'modification' function of the design table.
It does not require you to use paint. What you have to do is receive the item 'bed' from a villager, take it to the design table and customize it by deleting all the pink flower ornaments the villager doesn't like.

Then you just need to take the modified bed back to the villager and will be asked to set it up in their house for them to finish the quest.

- Being asked for some can(s) of paint or dye is a typical random quest.

Maybe if you can describe which tutorial for the designtable you completed last, @666reddog: is able to tell you how many tutorials you are still away from the picknick table quest that will unlock the normal paint for you.

When given the quest it mentions it has painted pink flowers and been have been thinking when you bring it to the desgin bench/tool and see the list on the side mention 0 paint means they can't do anything with it it seems when that list is if you wanted to make a COPY of the item in your bag and would need the materials.

The quest where the villlager gives you a bed and the is something like "spruce up quest" something along those lines it the tutorial quest where it wants you to go into the desgin bench, click the edit in bag button, customize it and then use the delete button on all pink flowers.

As a helper in the hokko discord this is the quest most people get stuck on since the narrative update went live so I've gotten very used to help with this very tutorial quest. You do just need to delete all pink flowers then return the bed to the quest giver :)

wow thanks every where i looked it acted like i needed to paint bed pink once i removed flowers it unlocked all the other stuff was so close to quit playing now i have figured out the paint and fishing will keep going fun game just a little confusing
