is it possible to change character's appearance

as title says. i dont like how my character looks like, ive made her before the game update and even though if selected i wanted to wipe the old save (when given the choice - since game updated) i didn't get to redesign my character.

Starting a new game doesn't let you change looks? Strange.

How far into the game are you? There should be a certain option to get a makeover after a while, for 50 of whatever the in-game money is called. I haven't tried it yet but I guess it goes beyond just a new haircut.

Starting a new game will most certainly give you the option to customize it before you start fresh,

If you weren't able to it's because the start new update option saves your character and reset everything else letting the player skip that part, what you need to do is go back to the menu and do delete save file in the save games tab.

start new game again and there now it's fixed :)

(I know because I just got back to Hokko after a time away and found out myself)

you can have more than one save, that way play more than one character, but only one characer per save

I didn't get very far before the game was changed quite a lot so I wasn't attached to that character. I had no intention of continuing that save. Who knows what problems could have arisen.
