Silver pick axe?

I can't make a silver pick axe. I have the iron pick axe, I have tried minning a grey and white stone but my pick axe isn't strong enough, so I went to Sally's but I can't buy a recipe for a new pick axe. How do I unlock the new recipe?

I just got some silver not enough yet for pickaxe. But I unlocked the Bronze pickaxe and the Iron axe. It was in Sally's shop window.

tbh im wondering the same thing is there a Villager that leads to the silver pickaxe being unlocked at sally's if so who?

I got 10 silver bars and it hasn't unlocked for me either. I just assumed I needed more to trigger it.

Yes! It has something to do with the number of quests you do for others. Immediately after delivering a crafted table to a neighbor who asked for it, she thanked me and then told me Sally had some new stuff in stock. I went to look and there was the silver pickaxe crafting option.

It won't matter which villager. IE: Oleander unlocked the bomb for me. For others it was Hector or some other random villagers. I think it's just a matter of fulfilling requests until it comes up.

I have some new info. I read that you need Kiko in your town to unlock the silver pickaxe

This might be a bit off topic, but you can pass the rock that blocks the way to the left on the level you find silver ore. At least ist works for me.

That could be true. I thought I just did enough quests to unlock it, but I also have Kiko just added to my village.
Though unlocking the silver pickaxe didn't get me any further because the crafting recipe needs an eel. And eels can be caught in autumn I found out, but I am at the beginning of summer. Sooo lots of waiting... Also the info about eels said they are hard to catch. Oh my. :(

There's no specific villager, you just need to build more houses, move in villagers, and do whatever they ask of you. One will eventually tell you to go to sally for the silver axe blueprint as a reward. In my case it was niko that tipped me to go to sally after I did the table he was asking from me to make, and he was my 10th or 11th villager.

yep....Kiko just told me to go to sallys after making a metal table for them

just an update on them eels they appear in the pond on rainy days, in autumn
and ty for the Kiko info i just got her in my town today aswell as Niko

I got Kiko to move in but if the silver pick ax is fishing dependent or specific fish related to certain season I am in winter and I suck at fishing it may be long time for me. I got over 20 houses, most are full, oh well. I guess no silver pickax for me for a while.
