How to make bait?

Can't figure out how to make bait. Where do you craft it?

The last update was suppose to add bait into the game, but I have also failed to find it. It might be worth putting this in the report a problem section of the forums.

i caught all my fish without bait.
does some of they need bait?

Supposedly different bait gets you different fish, but I don't this system is working yet. I spent 15 minutes trying to attach worms to the fishing pole and got nowhere, so I have been fishing with the bare hook as well. I don't think the bait crafting system works yet either.

I got most fish with no bait but if I had to guess, every 15th of every season there is a fishing competition.. I would imagine if you win gold you might get the recipe. They say it's in the game but the recipe has yet to pop for me, but I think it has something to do with the fishing competition. I could be wrong tho.

hm ... so you say maybe one gets the recipe at the fishing competition
would i have known this earlier, i would have participated the one time i got a notification about it, but i just was too busy with something else & missed it completely

the pond to the left of the mine? been fishing that for days in the month of spring. I think the that fish may of been patched out :(

Bleak fish is in the River

Bleak is in the town river and you may need to reach Summer in the game to get it. Or at least I caught my first Bleak in Summer.

Have you been to Sally's workshop with the resources and tried using the crafting bench?
