am I missing something?

afterI I cut down the tree for moss, i head north towards "town", and I come to this green area with 2 houses, a locked workshop and a waterfall. The sign points back the way I came for "town" and I end up back at the general store and inn? theres nothing else there, theres no townies out and about, just nothing and nowhere else to go.

have I missed something or somewhere to go, or is this it? thanks!

There is a beach, and you can also build bridges to get across the river, or ramps to go up the mountains. The start does feel extremely small though I agree.

lol yep and also the beach!

theres just no guidance, i kinda like that at the beginning of any new game. and theres no map either.. do I just start crafting stuff randomly?

No, you need to speak time to time with the inn keeper and the shop keeper, they give you some quest for unlocking some gameplay mecanics and then, you can randomly speak with the two resident, they give you some task. I don't want to spoil you for the rest, chill and play :D

thank you, i went and spoke with Oma and Moss again and I think stuff is actually progressing lol

Was actually just about to suggest they make a map. I kinda want to know what my layout is so I can roll the land until I get what I want.
