Real time?
Please let this game run on a real time clock, just like animal crossing. I'm sick of the games where time is sped up. I want the days to be full days and have all the seasons happen at the appropriate times of the year. Thank you

Hey everyone! This has been a topic that's gone back and forth. In the end I decided to make the game not follow real time. I felt this fits the style of play for people playing on PC better rather than on handheld. I also wanted to give players the ability to enjoy all of the game, even if they don't have time to spare every day.

yes agreed, I'd love for this to be real time instead of some harvest moon like system :)

PC mustard ricers will just hack and change the system clock to cheat the system

Yeeeeaaahh... cant agree with you in the slightest. If I have to wait a real life year to experience all the seasons, I'm gonna be really salty :D

It's outright the better option, though I would consider a slower flow of time than something like Harvest Moon, for example. Maybe 1 hour = 1 day? Definitely take your time experimenting

Having played animal crossing it's probably because a real time or slow moving game isn't as compelling to pay for long periods of time because you are just waiting around for time to speed up to get things done. I didn't understand it at first, but then I realized that I'm not supposed to play animal crossing for long sessions and had way more fun checking in the game 3 times a day for maybe 20-30 minutes with each session.

You're really forcing this in every thread you're posting in.

Its fine, let people play Hokko Life. Let people enjoy Hokko Life without getting all defensive in various weird and awkward ways.

..............

As for the time bit, I guess it makes for an interesting compromise. Its a bit disappointing, though looking back at what New Leaf had done to me I guess this is a good system to go with. Modding can take care of any issues that Robert can't for Hokko Life.

Personally, I'm happier with this decision. There are weeks where I cannot get to play on my computer for days on end. So not having a real time clock helps.

+1.

I'll reply properly this time saying that this is indeed a nice compromise, especially for those with busy lives. Not everybody can play games in real time (as mobile games expect) so this is a nice way to include those who tend to be excluded for simply living.

Modding can probably tweak something (if allowed) though also struggle with time myself. So many games, so little time.

Ideally, such a real-time option would appear in the game options, then everyone would be satisfied. HA, and if the game had something ala account and went to android. You could play both PC and phone on your account. save in the cloud. And the whole world will get an orgasm

Real time in this game is something most wanted.

I am happy with the way the clock works in this game, the day is slow, so you have plenty of time to get things done. At the same time, I sometimes can only play a day or two out of a week, when I am really busy, so real time would mean losing out on some stuff.

It would be nice to have as an option, though.
