Could you post your laptop specs? Also, when the game was loading, was there ever a time when you heard music come in or anything to indicate that the game was actually loaded in the background, but it was just the loading screen didn't go away for some reason?
Thanks!
but here's the rest of my specs
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5300U CPU @ 2.39GHz 2.29 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.88 Usable)
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
The problem that you're describing is indicative of low RAM. Console RAM is used up a lot more haphazardly too--so it could be lack of optimization for the PC port.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Please stay tuned for more updates coming (hopefully) soon.
