Played a few levels, and it's not bad, but it's missing a few standard things that are kind of important. Like an 'undo' button. Also, once a square is clicked it can't be unclicked. If you click and drag, it'll change all the squares you go through, whether there is something already there or not. Nothing to show what row/column the cursor is in besides tracking with your eyes. Couldn't see below the bottom row for the row completion icons while in full screen. All of this makes for a somewhat frustrating experience and I have already restarted a few levels because I couldnt figure what I had accidentally clicked. Still, enjoyable, hopefully some of these will be fixed, and the price is right.

I love nonograms, but this one isn't worth my time. First of all it is NOT free to play(where did that come from? )
I paid about $6 Canadian and to obtain hints, they want you to pay even more!!
Sure, I wouldn't be so silly as to pay more, but thought that it should be clarified.
You do receive,"coins" daily, which can be applied towards hints but the pay for hints IS there.
Apart from the pleasant music , I see no pros for this game. Others have described the clunky UI and other drawbacks so I will just say that you can do better with any other nonogram out there.
I loved Paint it back and now feel like returning to it as a refreshing example of how a nonogram puzzle SHOULD be presented. NOT recommended, unless they fix the many faults.

Initially, I recommended this game because it's free puzzles and the sole ad is not very intrusive. However, the longer you play, the more actively un-fun it gets. It looks like someone tried to make a nonogram Candy Crush, but never realised nonograms don't really work that way.

I am currently on level 35 (also marked as 7/around the '100' sign mark - for a game that involves a lot of counting, it sure has a weird way of dealing with numbers). The past 5 or 10 nonograms have been an absolute chore with a lot of counting and recounting. The UI is hardly better than using a pen and paper, and in some aspects, it's worse - for example, if you've already found one of the numbers in the sequence, the game doesn't cross it out for you, and there is no way to do it manually, so on large grids, it's really difficult to keep track of what's already been done and what still needs to be found. Once you fill up the grid a bit, the borders between clusters of 5 are practically invisible. There is no undo button either, so fixing mistakes gets really annoying. The only help mechanisms are cheats, which I don't want to use, and a tool that checks a completed row and tells you whether it's done right or wrong, which sounds good but in reality almost encourages you to cheat (just fill out a row the way you think it should be until you get it right).

If you like nonograms, it's still worth picking up for the first 20 or so levels, but otherwise, stay clear.

I am requesting a refund on this game, something I rarely do.

This is a truly terrible implementation of a nonogram puzzle and one of the worst I've tried on Steam.

• There are microtransactions. They are in your face from the very first game screen that comes up.
  
• There is no temporary marker that most nonograms have for the middle mouse button. This makes calculating lines very difficult.
  
• Holding the button down to fill a line will overwrite the opposite symbol. (i.e. square overwrite X, X overwrites square.)
  
• The game does not always recognize clicks.
  
• Numbers are not faded when you complete a item or even the entire row, so you're constantly having to count.
  
• There is no undo function.

The only good thing I can say about it was that the art on the story screens was pretty. I don't know if the story was any good as I couldn't make myself play that long.

Pretty good puzzle game if you like Picross type puzzles,
the only con I can think off is that when they changed it from free to play to selling the game, they didn't think to change anything, so you have to wait for coin to recharge every 24 hours if you don't want to pay for them.
That's too bad since some of the later puzzle almost require you to take a hint.
That gets quite irritating considering the game cost 5$, I don't want to have to log in everyday for coin to play a game I paid for...

Overall still a pretty good game with lots of levels to play.

I had no idea you could go wrong with picross games but I was mistaken.
My main issue is how finished groups of tiles dont get greyed out (which you can even do on pen and paper for crying out loud).
Furthermore the puzzle's difficulty ramps up fast to the point where you spend half an hour on a puzzle when youre not even halfway through the game.
Also when crossing out the empty tiles of a finished row/column the cross can actually override a filled tile (something that most picross puzzles dont allow because of the obvious reason that it can throw you off completely when a filled tile suddenly is not there anymore)
Was really hoping to have an enjoyable time with this game but got very dissappointed.
In short: clunky, difficult and overall unpleasant to play
1/10 doesnt even beat pen&paper and there are way better free options out there.

It's honestly not a good picross style game. Lots of quality of life feature missing, like undo, line highlighting, graying out matched numbers etc.
Worst of all, it was previously a free game, then changed to a retail price of €3.99 with a often applied 90% discount(yeah i fell for that), and micro transactions.
Go get one of the other excellent picross games with Steam Workshop integration instead.

I am new to this sort of puzzle {Nonogram}, but do find it enjoyable. Especially since it is FREE, I recommend any Gamer at least to try it to see whether it suits your tastes.

There are occasional annoying invitations to buy things {which I am very good at ignoring}.
At the difficulty the game plays, it is not necessary to buy any extras.

The puzzles advance in difficulty as one proceeds, so it keeps a Gamer interested.

Controls are intuitive and easy to handle. Nonograms are solved in black and white, or rather blue and white, and it's relatively easy to get an overview. However, there doesn't seem to be any way to cross out the numbers along the edges. You get a confirmation when you've filled in enough squares on a row or column (does not immediately indicate whether you solved it correctly though), but the numbers will all always be active. Makes it difficult to keep track of and count the squares in bigger puzzles. Good puzzle difficulty level - also suitable for people experienced with nonograms/picross puzzles. If you're experienced with these types of puzzles they're at least so far entirely solvable without using any hints what so ever.

Would definitely recommend this game if you're looking for a good nonogram/picross puzzle game.

No way to cross out single numbers that you've completed, which would make your progress much easier to keep track of. If you want a decent nonogram game, I recommend Pictopix, which has a great user interface, user-submitted puzzles, and no microtransactions (although it isn't free to play).
