Direct3D Could Not Initialize Error Message
I've been recieving an error message for all Sam and Max episodes in season 1 and 2 that says "Direct3D could not initialize." My DirectX is up to date, my OS is Windows 8. I've tried running the games on compatiblity mode, but nothing is working.

I have the exact same problem and Telltale Games sent me a list of possible solutions that didn't work and then told me to send them my system specs. That was a month or two ago and they still haven't got back to me. As far as I know, no one has a solution to this problem :(

Yikes.:/ I emailed steam support and I'm hoping they might have an answer. It just frustrates me that I can't find a way to get Sam and Max to work on a basically brand new laptop.:/

I've also used the verify integrity of the game cache tool and the scan comes back with nothing wrong. Plus all my Season 3 episodes run just fine. Just tried running the games as admin and still nothing.

Just got a response from support and was pointed in the direction of a support article which was no help. Launch options didn't work and my drivers are up to date.
