Your welcome.
Ive unwishlisted.
Game has been in development for far too long to have issues that it does.
It isnt something crazy and innovative either.
Such a shame.
No excuse to release a game if it is in that state and no official response to your thread to indicate otherwise.
Developer obviously taking the view of lets release it then fix rather than release only when its ready. Bad choice.
My current guess is they now drew the line and just release it to get at least a part of the invested money back. I would not be surprised if this game will be abandoned after launch with developer and publisher going separate ways.
Maybe (hopefully) I am wrong. I won;t remove it from my wishlist but regardless of any launch discount I will wait for the first mayor update to see if this is still living. The game itself looks great, if that gets supported and gets a workshop it can turn out to be a great game.
I dont particularly like the look of the buildings either. they look copy paste of previous games, such as pharaoh.
when a building upgrades, you least expect some kind of building work like scaffolding, with abit of time spent on construction, but they instantly upgrade, which loses that immersion.
the whole grid system is a super old game mechanic now, that is seriously showing its age.
We should be seeing more freedom interms of city builders, than what we have.
I saw a trailer a little while back, and wishlisted it because i did enjoy pharaoh as a kid..
but thats the problem.. i was a kid. im not anymore, and want something abit more advanced, particularly of this genre.
I kept it wishlisted until i saw this video, about it being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and there we are.
I havent seen any gameplay on pyramid construction or temples though. if they have depth ill keep it wishlisted, but i wont be purchasing it. not from what that video has shown.
Im burned severely with cities skyliens 2 and plaetcoaster2 right now, and sick and tired of how bad early access is today, with half baked broken games.
more gameplay.
LOD issues are mentioned around 11:00 timestamp
Well, all I can say is that the person who played did not get to know the mechanics of the game and thought there were bugs. We watched the video several times with QA and the bugs are not on the game side.
We recommend to go through the tutorial and the missions one by one, because we implement there another and another mechanics but nobody will forbid anyone to go directly into the sandbox. The solution to most of the problems that the youtuber had was displayed on screen in the form of hints and tooltips.
You can also play the demo, it's available all the time, no one is hiding anything, anyone can play.
And yes, we are aware of the problems with the LOD, we will be improving this.
Oh my gosh...
May i say. THANK YOU, for standing up and engaging with the consumers.
Ive been interacting with different games, where the dev's do not communicate with their playerbase, notebly, Planetcoaster 2 and starminer, currently.
So full credit too you, for picking this up.
I do wish to add. i would ignore my second link, but watch through the entire video of the intial OP.
The youtuber, finds numerous bugs and issues.
- Lod's being the biggest issue. (i couldnt play this game in that state) you need to fix it big time.
- Renaming peoples names, but nothing happens is another.
- the water can clip through the terrain making a graphical glitch inland.
- Zooming in and out, kills FPS and ramps the gpu to maximum.
- The people seem to "jitter" when zoomed out.
- Menus and buttons dont highlight correctly.
- saving a game with your written save, doesnt show up when you load, which is confusing?! i think thats what GamerZakh was trying to say.
- Pressing start on loading a save, sometimes doesnt launch the game.
- During the campagin, or tutorial, gamerZakh found a bug regarding the restricted area you can build in, and creating a path connection.
- the popup dialogue window when selecting buildings, have a weird zoom scale effect when you move using wasd and zooming in and out.
- cannot change difficulty when playing within the campaign.
those were some of the issues that i picked up on, while watching the first link in my OP.

those things you mentioned are mostly true, I agree and will be improved
I hope that list can help you out.
Im sure im missing other things but that list was what i could grasp from watching GamerZakh's video.
