🏝️Stop claiming that the African Pyramids were built by Aliens!
Builders of Egypt is Realistic and Educational. Educate Yourselves

To all of you who perpetuates the chauvinism of cynical TV-shows..
You are literally hurting the feelings of so many Africans across the African continent!
Those TV-shows are all wrong.

Africa has a proud rich history of African Pharaohs who built countless of Pyramids.
Sudan (the country along the white Nile and blue Nile is the country with the most Pyramids in the whole wide world!!

Strong black leaders in Nubia had advanced knowledge on how to build Pyramids literally thousands of years before the Romans built the Colosseum and Aqueducts!
The people along the Nile have roots and a colorful tapestry of cultured history.

It would be great if some of you guys who are new to Egyptian lore can use this opportunity while experiencing playing 'Builders of Egypt' to help educate friends and family about who the the people along the Nile were and how rich and diverse this culture actually was.

Building simulators is not just entertainment. Building simulators can be educational too!

Erich von Däniken was a cynical grifter. He is 89 years right now. Erich was kicked out of school for theft at a early age. Later in life he was arrested for fraud.

He lived his life lying and taking advantage. His writings contributed and still contributes to uphold and propagate racism post ww2 and up to this very day. HIs legacy is lackluster and he just can't accept that non-white civilizations can construct amazing buildings and projects of value. "It has to be aliens".

Builders of Egypt is a game that can educate uninformed gamers. We need more strategy and simulation games set in non-white civilizations. Especially in Africa.

Edit:
Erik has done great damage to African history. :prestige:

Believing that they are built by aliens is more fun. The fact is that we really don't understand how they did it, and until we do there is nothing wrong with speculating, even if you, or the Africans, don't agree. In other words - People are allowed to believe whatever dumb stuff they want.

It is entirely possible, if highly unlikely, that they were built by aliens. If you can prove them definitively wrong, the problem will be solved. That is how science works. Until then I highly doubt that any Africans were actually damaged by these theories.

I am working on a theory that it was giant stone cutting ants that built the pyramids. The pyramids are suspiciously like the little mounds of dirt that smaller ants make in my back yard. It's possible that the Nubians controlled the ants and used them to help build the pyramids?

Most will find these texts during the loading of the mission boring but we have seriously tried to impart as much contemporary knowledge of Ancient Egypt as possible there which has been recognised and remarked upon many times over time. And upper Egypt and its farthest ends are my favourite of all the Egyptian places.

Oh yes ! :p_heart:

- Reading up on more than just lower Egypt - really opens up a lot of understanding on how different Egyptian dynasties' "foreign relations" were.
What happens up river beyond the cataracts is essential to how lower Egypt functions and can function.

- Nice to hear that you include knowledge and information.
Sid Meier's Civilization and other good strategy games would not have been the same without the 'Civilipedias' and all the cool exciting background info!

As an absolute fan of Egyptian history I like the information given. BUT: I would certainly appreciate these texts more, if the speed of the narrator matched the speed of the text. I am sure, I am not the only one, listening and reading at the same time. Problem: Since one of them is always ahead of the other, it gets really annoying to follow, which, I imagine, is one of the reasons many just click on start. That's a pity, since you clearly put a lot of effort in compiling all the facts for a better understanding.
Maybe in a future update you can check the scroll speed of the text, at least in the original English version. Thank you.

We will definitely take this into consideration, thanks!

To be honest, i was reading your OP and thinking it was an irony and a joke. Perhaps the way it's written idk but yes, it's great to have games that respect history and the most actual (and accepted) data about it and can be really educational.

I also liked AC Origins in this regard, for example, it was an incredible voyage to get into some monuments and read real old texts in-game, and the exercise to guess the degradation state of the monuments and that time, already near being a Roman province was fantastic (the sphinx, some temples, the inside of pyramids at that time...all incredible) The discovery Tour can be a bit basic but really educational for kids and those who still don't know much about that era.

I would love to know about how this devs investigated and how they chose what to add to Builders of Egypt. It's really nice to know that they also love this part of history and take it seriously. Meanwhile i yet have to decide if i'm going to try the game now or better wait for some needed updates... Anyway good work
