Report a translation problem
I sort of got it to work. It'll send the audio through the HDMI cable if I run in windowed mode, but not in full screen, then it tries to use either the speakers or the headphone output. Doesn't matter what my default is, doesn't matter if I disable the other options, it refuses to use the HDMI output if I'm running in full screen.
I had this issue with many games actually but since the software increases volume, I still keep it and just turn it off when problems appear.
Not sure if this will help you, but apart from making sure your sound drivers are up to date, I would also check for any third party sound apps like Nahimic.
