Is this game dead?

Two or three years ago, I could almost always find a server and people to play with. Now I can't find any server at all, except one or two password protected ones.

EDIT: I just checked over the whole weekend to find a server, in the morning and multiple times during afternoon and evening. There was not a single public server I could join.

So yeah, the game is absolutely dead. Such a shame.

I am kinda suprised that there are far more players than months ago, even multiple hosts to pick from. It is not as bad as you state, at least not always.

But yes, the playerbase was always small, it is an old game. Yet, with a handfull of people it is more than playable. Remember, He provides.

I tried to play this game last year and found only one active lobby. Luckily they were the goats and carried the misson.

I don't know what has happened but when I played the campaign on Easy, it was ridiculously hard. Barely got past 1st level.

I'm re-installing this as we speak.

You mean as in "singleplayer"? I love this game above most, but the single player is hardly to be taken serious.

Not that easy. When I recently replayed the campaign on the second lowest difficulty, I do remember they started throwing groups of two and then three Scythes at me in the later missions. Granted, with Vortex at hand and Barachiel with his hammer of doom everything is grinded into meatballs quickly, but even so...

Excuse me if i was not clear enough. I did not mean "not to be taken seriously" as 'easy', but as 'not good'. You can play singleplayer once or twice, if you like the game as much as i do - but it is mediocre at best.
Multiplayer is where the game shines.

Mostly Special Missions have worked for me, but it's a bit frustrating how the bots tend to get one-shot by Stalkers or overwhelmed if you dare give them anything but Claws/Hammer. Going Librarian/Tactical with Barachiel with the Hammer has worked best for me as it can produce some fun games. Apothecary with two melee bots can start to feel like a joke sometimes, as the bots can sometimes seem invulnerable, even on No Mercy. The customization options for bots are just too limited to keep things interesting.

You're still able to play it just fine on some hours of the day. Space hulk is such a unique and fun game, i pray to the omnissiah for it to get a remake someday.

No one said it would be easy. For such desperate situations the developer got you, tho. They implemented the possibility to host a game yourself, too.

Sure if you have friends who play with you, it's fine, but if not then you are out of luck.

Man i am just really sad to hear. This has literally never happened to me over years... May i suggest a little networking - if you want to try the game somewhere in the future, ignore me if you given it up already - just ask someone on this forum, including me. And there is some group chats around too, i guess...
