Yes Multiplayer Servers are online and avaible.
Please Post your Error Message.
Maybe your Windows FireWall Blocks the Game(?)
ERROR: Disconnected from Server
Please verify your Internet connection and try again.
my computer is hardwired with an ethernet cord directly into my modem and is constantly connected to the internet
Try this:

And when nothing Helps i have some more possible Solutions:
1) Verify Game Files and start Game with Admin Rights
2) When possible install the Game new on a SSD and test again
3) Switch between Fullscreen and Windowed Mode (Fullscreen Mode is known for some weird Issues sometimes)
4) Install the Support Branch and reproduce the Issue and look in the Log Files. https://steamcommunity.com/app/816090/discussions/0/1698300679777940210/
but i did open up the ports, and even did a full shut down on my computer while i was gone for the doctor, and i still can't get into the multiplayer
keeps giving the same error message
If you're behind a consumer router you don't need to open any ports.
All outgoing ports for deathwing are allowed as soons as you tell your windows firewall or any other software firewall APP X is allowed to communicate with INet.
And deathwing uses a wide range of UDP ports. Port 7777 is outdated and won't work.
If you're able to play other games on gamepass in multiplayer, than everything is ok.
You can't play with steam users cuz as far as i know gamepass version is diffrent than steam version.
I wonder if the Xbox game still has servers hosting it's matchmaking, also the game numbers are relatively high on PC for this game in general, but there is a weird avoidance in hosting games, lot's just camp for a game, or hop on, scan the server list then adios right away.
The player population being stuttered into different time zones will definitely make you feel like you're the only player online once in a blue moon but then just as you're considering uninstalling due to dead-game, all of a sudden there's 5 active servers in the server browser and recurring squads ups.
I'm not great at bugfixing on this particular game but I've gotten around a few fatal errors.
Make sure you have the correct version of the game, I'm not sure about hte PC gamepass thing, but If the issue is you cant actually get into the multiplayer, the fix I found was put it in windows 8 compatibility mode in the properties of the actual executable file (not in steam or the shortcut) right click on deathwing go to local files and browse local files, right click on the executable file and click properties, go to compatibility and set compatibility mode windows 8 and set it so it always runs with administrative privileges <- First fix I found online, reinstalling might help if that doesn't.
that didn't help either -.=.-
Do you Play in america ? I always log on and its the same 3 people playing behind passwords so i don't get the game is full of players remark as in EU there is none all day everyday.
Prince i would refund the game and get something else.
