Personally i go for accuracy for the Assault Cannon - it does shed loads of damage as it can fire so many rounds at a time so my thinking is concentrate that fire power e.g. accuracy
If you fire in 1 second burst (tap fire button as opposed to hold) you'll make most of those rounds count. Also using accuracy will help give the AC a bit more effective range
If you're talking about Vengence then i go for the recoil mod as i feel that the rounds fired are accurate and do a lot of damage but it is the kick back that stops accuracy
I see your point but im wondering if the spread of the bullets is a bad thing or not. At longer range, its clearly usefull to have more accuracy against an unique target. At closer range, it seems spreading is not a problem or even an advantage
