Do I need to download both Deathwing and it's Enhanced Edition?
I bought Deathwing in the Humblebundle sale. I put in it's steam key and started downloading it... but it's wanting to download both Deathwing and Deathwing Enhanced Edition. Is there any reason I should do that?

Curiously the Enhanced Edition seems to take less space. 14gb rather than 16. (and when I agreed to download it I thought it wanted to set aside 75gb, but maybe I misread that.)

I think you only need enhanced edition. But some were still playing the old one when they released enhanced edition, so maybe you can still get both?

Is there any difference between the 2 that would make me want to play the original? I mean, I don't expect there to be extra levels, weapons, characters, voice actors, story, or anything else in the original. If anything I would expect the enhanced edition to have those extras.

But ... I dunno. Have you played both>?

I would like to know this as well.

you need Enhanced Edition, donwload it and play. EE fixed some bugs, optimization, added new class and cosmetic items.

I take it that you mean that all I need is Enhanced Edition? Glad to know

I tend to play both original and EE. i play the original for single player and special missions because it has some things i really liked which they took out in EE. The blood and gore effects are so much better in original, blood splatters on floor & walls, more bullet holes appearing in GS's, blood squirting out of dead GS's, blood raining down from ceiling during those overwhelming situations with alot of aliens around you while using your powerfist/sword etc. The team mate AI thunder hammer and shield animations works as should in original which is very cool to see your AI brother smashing his way though swarms of GS's. The distance view graphics is also better in original with better lighting in some areas which they took out of EE for better frames i guess. While the original didn't run great at launch back in 2016, it now runs fine with up to date GPU's, so i like to play single player on the original for a more immersive spacehulk experience. I play EE for either multiplayer or singleplayer to upgrade weapons/armour etc.

Considering that this thread is still open, I would say that it is not dead.
