A game for Sisters of Battle
So I understand why there aren't any female space marines, and I am okay with that especially when I discovered that they have their own orders under the Adepta Sororitas. My question is, would there be any interest or demand for seeing our battle sisters in their own game? As much as I love the Dark Angels (my favored original chapter) I personally have a small attachment to the Order of the Argent Shroud and would love to see them, even if they have a small appearance in another warhammer game.

They were playable as a faction in Dawn of War Soulstorm but its an old game.

Consider this:

- Wh40k is a niche as TT game. Even while it have very loyal playerbase it is not well known ip.
- GW choose to sell theur license to anyone paying no attention to developers record and previous releases. It couses series of failed wh40k games: IM, EC, SH/DW and DoW3.
I will not even mention how crappy they are to avoid attacks for "trolling"... if anyone want to know how a big failures they are just look at their playernumbers and reviews.
The only wh40k decent games are small budget turn based strategies.
- Sisters are not and never were one of most popular factions. I play TT for more then 20 years and know just few people who were p[laying them.

So I really doubt we will see them in pc games any soon.
The only way I see them is really good developer geting license and make damn good game with huge room for expanssions.
I count on CA and TW/WH40k. Starting with 4 or 5 basic factions and then adding more and more.

Really? I might need to look into this. Thank you.

Alright, and i figured as much. I was just wondering if there was any intrest in seeing one come out. You hardly ever hear about them, but then again i am fairly new to the 40K universe.

Well when next year the plastic sisters of battle release for tabletop I hope interest in them spikes and hopefully we'll see more DLC in many WH40K games.

sounds like a good idea. To me, regardless of gender, if you pass selection than good on you soldier! Now here's your kit and orders.

as long as it
follows the lore precisely
its their own game and not rammed into somwere they dont belong
it follows the lore precisely
they dont mix it up with female marines
it follows the lore precisely
there are no politics involved beyond burning heretics
and most of all it follows the lore precisely
i would love a game about sisters

honestly has more people wanting to play them then might be assumed at first glance considering they havnt had a real codex sinse 3e i think, and their models are even older
but 40k wile it might seem very popular to us fans is still a niche market for video games
so taking an additional risk with sisters makes a game like that happening pretty unlikely

but no reason to stop hoping
except that its the first step on the road to dissapointment
just like i will continue to hope for a night lord stealth game where you have to terrorize a hiveworld into submission
no reason to stop hoping at all
except that its the first step on the road to dissapointment ofcourse

Not really interested in the game focused around them. BUT a DLC adding them as playable faction \ units? All in. I'm not into lore \ WH40K world niaunces enough to say if SoBs [LOL] shouldn't be in the Deathwing... but as a DLC [even paid one] I'm pretty sure not only me would happily welcome them. I'd certainly like to cruise through the ship as\with a SoB by my side.

And for stating that Deathwing was a "failure".. I wouldn't say so. It's a great game by now, it's just that games like these, when they aren't bombed with new content, get boring after a while.

But ofc mr Professor Steamcharts know better, so... what are you doing here, exactly?

Btw, DoW's 1-2R were great, Deathwing was great, Space Marine was good enough.

The space marine game with the Ultramarines was pretty much the first real introduction to warhammer 40K for me. There's a part where I think you team up with the Blood Angels to assault the tower you need to reach. They could always use that again, where brothers and sisters fight along side one another to purge the enemies of mankind. Just as long as its not RTS. I am not very good at those unless a friend carries me through lol.

The Adepta Sororitas played as a protagonist during the Age of Apostasy. A game about that period with all the twists and turns it concerned would be great in terms of plot and period to explore. Just to leave behind a little either the Horus Heresy or the more recent happenings.

I can easily see a DLC focused on them. Everyone is infatuated with the "female protagonist" thing so I don't see why not.
Ashardalon Oct 12, 2018 @ 6:31pm
because sisters dont do hulk clearing

You won't see them in hulks anytime soon.

However there are constant back and forth between fans on adding them to other areas in 40k. It's generally accepted there should be some guardswomen models.

There was also discussion about them being space marines, but that would mean going against all the lore. Or at least looking really weird, since there's never been a female space marine mentioned in any fluff ever.

In theory Cawl could suddenly enable geneseed and the enhancements to work with women.

The are female inquisitors, but we've just had the 'inquisitor' game so anything like that could be a while.

there are ideologues trying to ♥♥♥♥ with the lore
thats not a back and forth between fans
its fans trying to defend a hobby they love and idiots trying to ruin it for no reason at all
you wont see demands for brothers of battle in the adepta sororitas, no gay brides of the emperor

Since GamesWorkshop reevaluated the Adeptus Custodes, they have put a little more emphasis on the golden defenders. That being said, my girlfriend recently got some Sisters of Silence with her Custodes.

Definite girl power going on there. Golden armored anti-psychers all the way! Of course this is tabletop I'm talking about so I'm not sure how it would translate to video game world, but it would be nice.

Unfortunatly, there should be only Dark Angels in SP:DW cause deathwing=dark angels, but I'd like to see the diversity in 40k gaming. And more dreadnoughts
