Helmets for the Librarian and Assault class
Anyone else think it would be nice to have at least one skin where these guys could wear helmets? I just think it's lunacy to wear terminator armour and then leave your head exposed.

I thought I'd throw that out there incase a dev happens to read it.

The psykers need clear air for the powers to work well. The librarian has a head shield that is special, see the projection above his head. Others I think are just copying the psykers, there is a lot of superstition involved, among the other personnel. Or maybe they have some traces of power themselves...

Nah there's plenty of examples of Librarians wearing a helmet with a psychic hood.

Nope.

Won't let me post the image link.

But trust me, there are helmets which incorporate the crystalline matrix of a hood. There's nothing to say they need clear air.

There's also a few power armoured librarians with hoods.

Edit: GW has released various librarian models with helmets. One recently with the primaris marines, you actually get a choice of 2 heads to use, one helmeted one not.

The other is a very old release of a Terminator librarian with a helmet on - which I used to have (so this was over a decade ago).

It's kinda annoying when people just make stuff up as fact when they are guessing.

This IS the internet. (lol)
I'd prefer that all the non-helmet variations of the armor cosmetics have a helmet option, Sure the ones that don't have helmets seem appealing, But i'd rather have an option to put a helmet on the rest of them to complete their look.

While having the option to take the helmets off, It should've and should be like this instead of just having 2-3 armors with helmets the rest without helmets.

That would have been a much better approach.

Either that or you could just unlock two variant armour sets whenever you buy a skin. One with a helmet and one without.

Iron Halo etc. They have force fields which protect the head afaik. Would also explain why there are so few hits on the head slot.

Regardless, I agree that the helm should most definitely be an option.

Libarians can wear helmets, it's just very rare in the lore and GW hasn't made models of Librarians with helmets since like... 3rd Edition?

Nothing on Forgeworld either.

So if you want a model of a Librarian with a Helmet, you're going to have to kit bash and likely saw off a psyhic hood/cowl or otherwise make your own and fit them together.

Pretty sure Librarians don't use Iron Halos, they have alternative means to protect their heads with their own power.

Your Librarian character gets an iron halo after mission 8 of the campaign. Not sure if it actually does anything or is just cosmetic.

Cosmetic. Looks cool, though.

Would just like to add this is all completely wrong.
Psykers don't need clean air, you can't find clean air anywhere in 40k.

I already brought this topic up before EE was released, in hopes that when it was released, the armor would get some cool helmets, but the devs payed no attention...

You're absolutely correct, milord. Any loyal warrior of your Imperium requires only faith for the prosecution of his holy duties. There shall be no respite until we repent for our sins.
