so is the grind in this game endless?
im asking this because you only get renown after levelling up, and each level requires a higher amount of XP to reach. So there will be a point where instead of leveling up after 1 mission, you will have to play three missions to level up and so forth, which will make the goal for unlocking everything completely impossible.
Correct me if im wrong.

You're wrong, it's not impossible, but yes if unlocking everything is your goal over and in priority over the actual experience of gameplay, it's going to be painful.

Around level 25 is where you'll have a single class optimized for your preferred playstyle, and that's if you don't waste on too many skins or experimentation.

i was exagerating on the impossible part.
If the devs add a pregression system (without microtranscactions thank the emperor), why would they make it so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to unlock everything?. Its not like I play only one class, I play whatever the team needs, meaning that I will have to work really hard to costumize each class to my own liking, which leads to a lot of grind that no one wants to go through.
What were the devs thinking?

The things that matter dont take that long, just don't go wasting all your dosh on a 30k skin that adds nothing to your stats that you won't ever see anyway... Save that for later on down the track when you have hundreds of thousands of XP you don't know what to do with.

To be fair, I prefer the skins that have helmets and those typically are 15k or less

endless? No. I have played 8 hours and just hit Lvl 7 and unlocked several weapon mods. Just don't waste XP on cosmetic upgrades until you have the functional ones you want/need.

Some of my preferred skins are <5000 renown, so I am happy.

For quick levelling up you must play on higher difficulties. On No Mercy for example my reward per mission is about 11-15K XP. So I can raise my level almost after every completed mission. After lvl 10 you need 16K XP for level up.
Now I have 26 lvl after only 19 hrs of game. For example, yesterday I played 6 hrs and had earned about 130K XP. So progression in this game is very quick thing.

Who has the goal to unlock completely everything? Why? For my two prefered classes, the Apo and the Heavy I have unlocked 2 armor skins, banners each. And my prefered weapons have some upgrades. Just hit level 22 and it is the third day to play it.

Dont forget: The XP-gain is highly correlated to the damage-output, which means that the stronger your weapons, the more XP you get. I'm Lvl 12 now and I still level up at least after three matches, most of the time even just after two, so I don't think one should be too scared about the increase of XP-Requirement, especially because it doesnt rise after a certain point. If anything, I feel like my leveling has gotten even faster after all.

Solo-Campaign is totally isolated. But Solo-Special-Mission-Rewards will be unlocked in MP aswell.
Teonana May 25, 2018 @ 2:46am
So you basically have to play through solo campaign in order to unlock MP content?

amount of exp required for level up only grows till lvl 10. after that it's a fixed amount that remains the same

solo campaign is separate from the mp and sp special missions.
what you unlock in sp campaign remains in sp campaign.
you get xp and renown (currency) while playing sp special missions and mp. you spend that renown on items that you can use in those game modes.

there are two ways to play sp special missions and mp: codex and non-codex
if you play codex: you start the missions with all weapons and skills available to you
if you play non-codex: you start as level 1 and you only have starter weapons available to you. as you progress through the mission you get xp and level up thus unlocking more skills and more weapons. this xp is separate from xp you get after finishing a mission. also this progress resets every mission.
