Having a full group that can plough through each mission with good team work will be the best way to level up.
Is it doable while being newish to the game (Without the perks of weapon damage increases etc). Or is it just more monsters?
Actually better question. At what point is standard..hard..etc able to be tackled for say, ch 2 as an example.
Try jumping into a NM game most vets are happy to see new players. Stick with the group as a squishy learner exploring is often lunch or meat shield from a stalker.
So look for games with NM in the name (No Mercy).
Try to avoid FF (Friendly Fire) games until you are experienced, team kill is no fun. And you can't bring the big dakka either (upgraded plasma cannon).
On the other hand, FF tends to be much more enjoyable without the plasma cheese.
Unless there's a better way to deal with turrets that i'm unaware of/easier way o.0
I play a Lightning Claw/psyker. Zap-zap frackers! Sometimes though I forget a turret is a head and am on cooldown ,but folks lumber into it anyway cause they get used to me instant popping them.
You can play a single player special mission on easy for 99% of the match. Just before you complete it, change the difficulty to No Mercy. It nets you the exp that you would get as if you played the entire map on NM.
I did a lot of testing perks and weapon mods and whatnot in the past, and came across this little trick. Although it is not a fun way to get exp, it allows you to play on whatever setting you want to practice and still get decent reward. With the player base how it is now, I certainly wouldn't fault anyone for doing this a bit.
On a side note: I'm on the East Coast NA. Not many games usually. I have a lot of people on friends elsewhere so that I can get someone into a game if I really want. Feel free to add me and shoot me a message sometime. If I am online, I can jump in a bit for some games.
