I am no network engineer but if you can all connect on one 'workgroup' then would that not replicate an internet?
then if one hosts the others should see the game... like i said i am no network engineer, can you tell :)
I have no idea.
Are you inferring that creating a local workgroup that is offline will meet the game requirement to create a "lobby" for us to use from within Deathwing?
I assumed that an external server somewhere "far far away" was needed to create the links to the computers.
If there is a server, is there a dedicated server download somewhere?
I think that when you host a game you are advertising your server... the multplayer lobby is just a window to see the hosted games
There is no 'external' server for the game so i am guessing if each computer has its own network address on the 'workgroup' either with different fixed IPs set manually on each computer or connected to a switch that can dish out random IP addresses then you effectively have a network and if someone hosts then the others should see that game.... but it will be down to what 'language' the games uses for multiplayer
To the BATCAVE!!!!
I suspect though the game may not support LAN networking but hey it is relatively simple to test
Already tried it?
U will need "Goldberg Emu (otavepto/gbe_fork) and Steamless (atom0s/Steamless)" both from github.
