No game sound

I just purchased this game and when i go to play it there is no sound. I have sound from my other games in my steam library and the audio is turned up on all sources, ideas?

Try to disable all other sound devices. Those you don`t use, disable them if you use them anyhow, just to be sure. Game just might chose some other source you have instead of your default one.

If not then try going up and down on khz, 44.1, 48k etc and see if that makes a difference. It should not.

Try updating your sound card/on-board drivers, shouldnt be necessary but it doesnt hurt to check it off.

Start menu, type device manager -> sound, video and game controllers -> right click your device and update.

Other useful stuff:

If you get random "fatal errors" or just crash to desktop, try running the game in Windows 8
compatibility mode (depending on what version of windows you have, i base my reply on W10 latest build) ->

Steam\SteamApps\common\Space Hulk Deathwing - Enhanced Edition\SpaceHulkGame\Binaries\Win64 ->

right click SpaceHulkGame-Win64-Shipping.exe -> properties -> Compatibility fan -> Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8.

Try to cap framerate 5-10 fps under your average framerate.

Starting the game up as admin can also work for some, there`s really no A4 template to go by since everybody have different hardware, OS, software etc.

Thanks for the info. Well I use my PC through my TV via HDMI cable. I changed the settings so the sound would play through computer speakers and not the TV and everything worked. Now newer and older games have no issue outputting audio through my TV, this seems to be the only one...
