Why do the developers call Ichigo's attack The Piercer of Heavens?

Why does that move need to be translated?

Ichigo always uses Getsuga Tensho. Everyone knows what is the Getsuga Tensho. It is the attack Ichigo always uses.

It is not like you translated Kamehameha...

Even the English Dub of the BLEACH anime had Ichigo say Getsuga Tensho and not Piercer of Heavens!

Then on the same breath they don't translate Ichigo's Shin Tensa Zangetsu but instead translates Rukia's Bankai, Hakka no Togame.

It's like you choose to translate something and then don't for others...

It is indeed odd. My thought would be it's by what the official dubs for the particular series did. While they can't use non Japanese dub voices for copyright reasons I guess they can use the official dub scripts.

Since Bleach's final arc was never animated it has no official dub and so goes to the official Jump version. In fact the official Jump translations probably explains it.

they did this with rurouni kenshin as well and many other animes , kenshins ultimate move amakakeru ryu no hirameki they translated all his and shisio's moves which completely takes away the meaning imo

I don't mind the Translations...

However, they really need to make things a bit clearer of what attacks are for who...

When I saw Piercer of Heavens, I was like WTF, since when did Ichigo even have that? ~_~

Like the Translations just competely confused me of what Attacks were for who,
& what attacks they were suppose to even be, ~_~

The colored Aura used in those Attacks did not really help either... oO

I think Ichigo's Attacks were Blue, or something... & I was expecting Black & Red, ~_~

It would be cool if Zangetsu was a playable Character, however... ~_~

If you made him playable, then you'd have to make Zabimaru & others, also,
& we can't exactly use up all are Roster for that, but it'd be cool, ^_-

because this game is "translated" but not "localized", the localization team don't give a ♥♥♥♥ and just hired some translator who probably don't watch and know ♥♥♥♥ about animes and have them translate it word for word.
