Area Change???

You're supposed to be able to do an area change if you do a smash attack on someone when your awakening gauge is 50% and above, but it's never happened a single time for me. Am I doing something wrong or...?

Are you doing it at the correct Timing?

Because from what I unerstand is that things like this can require specific moments in time where the Connection needs to take place, oO

You need to have at least 50% of awakening. As soon as you have that attack the enemy by hold the Heavy Attack button, you can tell if you've done it right if the screen is in slow motion. Then follow it up by holding the Rush attack button then the animation plays. Ex: In Xbox it's Hold Y then Hold X.
