I lost my save data (Deluxe edition pre order)
So I was in offline mode playing single player while my internet was down in a thunderstorm and my power went out, when I went to launch the game it said my data was corrupted and I have to start from square one again. I was wondering if anyone could maybe send me their save data for the deluxe preorder edition. I tried looking online but all the save files are for the ultimate edition or the standard.

No matter the version of the game, save files work between them

Ummmm...? oO

The Problem here is...

You played a Game that was most likely played on a Cloud Server, correct?

So your Saves were in the Cloud, but because you tried to play Offline due
to no Internet...

When your Internet came back Online, your Game did not load your Cloud
Save File, instead it loaded your Save File saved on your PC it's self...

& when it did that, it now Uploads it, & replaces your Cloud Save File, oO

It will either overwrite the Data already stored, or corrupt your Game, I guess...

Because Cloud Saving works this way, you cannot Play Games Offline,
unless you do not Play using a Cloud for Saving your Games, if you wish
to Play Games without a Cloud Save in the future, you can change a Setting
in your Game Settings, or Game Properties in STEAM, this will fix the issue
you are having with your Corrupted Game, but that means you need to manually
keep it backed up, or you could still loose your Saves, if your PC Crashed or
something like that were to happen... ~_~

-----------------------------

This is just 1 reason I do not like Cloud Saving...

1.) A Game should store Saves in both PC & the Cloud no matter what (Unless No Net)...
2.) Game Saves should always be Uploaded from PC to the Cloud...

This way, if your PC went offline, you still have your saved Game, but
if you were to go Online, your Offline Saves will go to the Cloud, & Update the Cloud...

3.) The Cloud should be allowed to Download to the PC, if a PC Save
was lost, but not from the Game, but from STEAM it's self under the Game
Settings, or Properties...

That way we never loose our Saved Games, & a backup is always there... =D

Lastly, a Game should only run from the PC I guess, & the Cloud should only be
for Backup? I dunno, ~_~ I have not really put much thought into it...

What do you guys think?
