Iron arrows seem useless, if you headshot, a wooden arrow is good enough.
The metal armor is heavy, and not much better than bone armor.
While iron tools do a bit more damage, as in, it takes a chop less to fell a tree, I don't think they're all that much better. And it's harder to get by.
Metal arrows will cause game to die more quickly if you fail to get a crit, so there's that. I've used them sometimes when I was forging anyway (ie, playing SoA). There's also a quest in SoA part 2 that I prefer to use metal armor to complete, but other than that, I stick to bone.
Admittedly, I'm not the type to "min-max" in this game where the weight of items is concerned. ^^ I mainly just use what's handy.
You're more than capable with bone equipment but metal is just fun too lol.
metal armor is still the only useful regardless of it's weight. Also when worn the weight of the armor dont count at all.
bone tools/weapons are also great early game. in the default GH you can find machetes which are better DPS and you dont have to make them. but still unless you mod weight limits bone tools are still OP
