Warahas don't attack small ground structures. I usaully build single square frames all over the place so rain won't put out my cooking fires, and they don't attract trouble. On the other hand I once built a Y shaped thing (frame with two balconies, three frames on top) and three warahas arrived immediately and staged a mostly peaceful protest.
Any need of making charcoal, or works at mud forge though, it's better to do it in your tree house(I think)
I think Warahas are way more frequent than Jaguars. By the way, I still haven't tried the forge yet, do you guys have all crafting options already memorized or do you read them somewhere outside the game?
When you throw something on the crafting block, you see dots above it of how many items you can add. If the dots disappear, it's a combination that doesn't work.
For instance a long stick will show 5 dots. You can craft it into a weak spear, or add up to 4 more things to turn it into something else. There's several combinations possible.
And notes get added to the notebook. It's not just for construction, any crafting recipe and plants you discover are in there too.
Some things get added from increasing crafting skill.
