Other games like Green Hell?
Really enjoying Green Hell but I feel there are somethings missing, like boneheaded arrows and cooler resources in villages for example. And no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useful items as decorations, who the crap thought it wise to have a BUCKET and a BARREL as decorations when you need ♥♥♥♥ to store water?
That said, are there any other survival games like Green Hell out there that feels hardcore?

Asking here cause googling gives stupid examples like Conan Exiles, Ark, Fallout 4, Raft or Rust which are not survival games at all but rather arcadey. Not saying they aint fun, just saying that's not the kind of 'survival' I'm looking for.

I want misery, crawl for two hours to get back to camp with a broken leg. Deseases. Advanced food system etc etc etc.

Sounds like you're ready for a real life bag over the head, drop you off in the middle of nowhere, snatch n grab.

Unreal World is touted by many as the best.

Card Survival: Tropical Island

Try starting as the tourist and you'll get what you want - dying of infection, bleeding to death, disease from bug bites, exposure, or of course dehydration. Or you could start as Hunter or Farmer to get more chance to learn the game before being thrown in the deep end - you'll probably die anyway, or maybe you'll live but grandpa will die

It's turn based and uses cards so a very different feel than GH. One of my favourites

Thank you, will give it a look.

Seven days to die and The Forrest are two that are also worth looking into.

Seven Days I played a while back but doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for.

The Forest was lots of fun, what about Sons of the Forest?

i reccomend The Long Dark, nice survival game with decently tough mechanics

Sons of the Forest is a bit more of the same. Different story tho.
It's also got 2 lovely AI companions, next to the co-op.

I like the freebuilding aspect of it. Plopping stuff down and connecting it without needing blueprints.
But it's clearly still in Early Access.
Sons of the Forest its semi-realistic on the setting but you can technically do the same with a different setting, forget the heat and embrace the colder climate.

Alternatively you can play Survival: Fountain of Youth, it has boats too.

Lol there is no game like Green Hell as its the only one I have found that focuses on Micro Management to this level.
Survival has many game engines that build on to the survival concept.
Basicaly your either looking for better base building > Subsistence I recomend.
The infected is another with customizations and is really petty good. The progress and updates is really adding on some good stuf so I may go back and play again.
Food and people management Medieval Dynasty is another I recomend. very easy and fun. Beautiful graphics.
Sons of the forest has loot bags and customizations as well. Good game but needs more work.

Check out The Long Dark.

It’s survival mode is just that, survival. Cook your meat, stay warm, boil your water. Watch out for infections, parasites and diseases. Watch out for wolves, bears and moose. Carrying raw meat will attract predators. And DONT get caught in a blizzard. You gotta prep before venturing out.

I’m 1000+ hours in and never even played the story mode lol.

Yep The Long Dark for sure, I think the story is meh at best. Survival is where it really shines. There is different difficulties even custom settings to tailor your experience. Very immersive, although I think the AI is pretty simple and predictable.

And seriously, go out and pick up camping / bushcraft if you can. Dependant of where you live of course.

Are you seriously trying to get others to commit crimes in the wilderness...jesus christ...

sending them bushcraft killing animals and destroying trees nd whatnot, thats illegal.

"Bushcraft is the use and practice of skills, thereby acquiring and developing knowledge and understanding, in order to survive and thrive in a natural environment." There are different laws depending on where you live. You can legally hunt and cut down living trees if you have the rights or land for it. Also you can practice bushcraft on public land where I live, for example make a fire with dead and dry branches without braking andy laws or destroying nature.

Like I said, different laws depending onwhich country or state you live in.
