Should an armadillo take more than 3 arrows to kill?

I've shot the same one 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times, and it still just bolts. Is this a bug?

Or just run after them. They are pretty slow and If you stand next to them they will roll up for defence and then you can just harvest them like the turtle.

The small ones (three-banded) you can, the bigger ones (armadillo) don't curl up. Neither are great food sources.

Just throw a spear. Works for most animals.
